What Other People Just Like You Are Saying About
Geymer Physical Therapy And Wellness…

Ron  overcame stiffness and weakness and is now able to garden and jog for fun!

Picture
"Thank you just doesn't seem enough for all you do for us and the other clients you have. When we first came to your clinic, we both had reservations if we could make it through one class. We could not think beyond that at the outset. In our 5 months with you as our coach, Ron can do a slow run; something he has not been able to do for many years. He can even do lunges! We are building friendships with Parkies, a wonderful inspiring group of people. I am especially grateful for the interest and time you have taken in me with my food issues. I also appreciate being able to participate in the classes. Most of all, I am thankful for what you have done to help Ron. You have made the journey a little easier." - Sue S.

Wilbur consistently put in the practice to get stronger and overcome his stroke deficits so he could remain living in his own home.

"Wilbur would have been in the nursing home a long time ago without you as his therapist!"

A Message From Our Founder, Dr. Alison Geymer, PT, DPT

Dr. Alison Geymer
Neuro Specialist Physical Therapist
Are you frustrated by poor balance? Are you disappointed because standing or walking difficulty is holding you back from doing what you love? Do you want to be able to travel without having to lug around a walker everywhere? Would you like to be able to get down to the floor to play with your kids or grandkids?

Years ago, I  helped my father navigate through the healthcare system after having a stroke.  I was disappointed by the fragmented care he received and the expectation that he should be "recovered" completely after a few weeks of therapy. I watched him repeat the cycle over and over of having a few weeks of therapy and then being left on his own to perform his home exercises. This system was never going to lead to longterm improvement in strength, walking, and balance. A home exercise program was difficult to perform because of limited space in the home, poor vision, a fading memory, animals in the home interfering and a spouse who was not able to assist much due to their own weakness. This is when I knew I had to change the systems available. People with chronic and/or progressive neurological and age-related conditions need ongoing and progressive exercise programs that are challenging, engaging and social in order to promote brain and body change and lead their BEST life! My mission is to provide people the opportunity for one on one and group therapy and exercise classes for life so that their life continues on their terms, in their home, for as long as possible. Decline in function as we age, regardless of our challenges, is NOT a certainty.

You don’t have to sacrifice the lifestyle you love over problems that can be fixed. That’s why we made this free guide just for you.

You see, everyone with balance and walking trouble in DFW asks us the same questions…

  • Why do I keep falling? How can I stay steady on my feet?
  • Why do my feet keep freezing up?
  • Am I just going to keep getting worse and end up in a wheelchair?

We have good news: you don’t have to “live with it”. There is still more that can be done and we’re here to show you the way.

Most people get stuck trying to make a decision about what to do next. They go days, weeks, months (even years!) without taking action.

The one thing we can guarantee is that by doing nothing, your poor balance, weakness, impaired memory and walking problems won’t get better.

So the next important thing is to take action.
